This new concession combines the previous concession “Breng” (Arnhem-Nijmegen) and Zuid-Veluwe.

NEWS 2026-06-30: at the start of the concession on 28 June 2026, only the Yutong 12 electric buses and the MAN Lion’s City LE EL were avaialble. The Yutong 12-meter trolleybuses were present but were still waiting for their licensing. Only a few MAN buses were in service the first two days but then all were withdrawn and will recieve a software update. Their acceleration was much too slow.

The 15-meter Yutong were present but had just arrived and will enter service soon. None of the Solaris buses is present yet.

Retained of the old fleet are the ten Solaris Trollino 18. Temporarily retained are the most recent ten Hess trolleys for Arnhem and some 90 MAN CNG buses, as Nijmegen charging installations will not be ready for a few months. These buses receievd a temporary RRReis livery.

However, due to the shortage of buses a large number of old buses in Breng livery (ex Arnhem-Nijmegen) or temporary RRReis livery (ex Hermes Zuid Veluwe) remain in service.

The fleet of Hess trolleybuses, save the last ten, has been withdrawn and can’t be used anymore, as most trolley routes now continue on batteries outside the trolley system.

For the Vierdaagse in Nijmegen in July 2026 all the ex Breng articulated have been retained.

There will be a new 100% electric fleet (except for the small buses).

The Solaris buses and the 18m Yutong buses 5196-5214 are not available at the start of the concession. Many MAN Lion’s City CNG buses and ten Hess trolleys of the previous fleet are temporarily retained. Also, charging installations in Nijmegen are not ready yet, so initially MAN CNG buses will remain in service there.
