General information
Cars Transport Corporation was a private operator, regulated by the Ministry of Transportation’s Land Transport division under a concession agreement. Cars operated a fleet of modern Mercedes-Benz buses with Marcopolo bodywork and some Toyota Coaster. Marcopolo buses seen were numbered up to 34, the Toyota Coasters between 35 and 47, indicating a fleet strength of some 50 buses. Cars operated 15 routes.
In 2015 Cars was superseded by BPTC (Bahrain Public Transport Company). Cars itself was the successor to Bahrain Transport, probably around 2000/2005.
