Though this site's focus is not on rail transport, we still would like to present some information and pictures on the subject, especially of current urban systems. Pictures of Thailand's Railways have also been included. Trams dissappeared during the 1960's but we show a few impressions of Bangkok's trams. Present-day urban rail transport in Bangkok consists of an elevated railway, called the "Skytrain", an underground system, the "Metro" and the Airport Train, which opened in August 2010.
