RWA-Gasabo Express

Gasabo Express deals in parts and imports. It also operated buses, using old large imported vehicles. This was apparently not too successful as they were rarely seen in service and the secondhand Dutch and Belgian vehicles have been sold on, with the Mercedes O405, Scania -Jonckheere and Van hool A600 ending up as school buses. The Scania -Jonckheere was also used for a short while by KBS in KBS livery. The three ex-Belgian vehicles were seen in October 2012, when they were prepared for service. The ex Dutch Mercedes O408 was first seen in December 2013, by which time it already had a rebuilt front end. All these vehicles were some 20 years old, and having all vehicles of different models hardly helps building up a reliable fleet. An old Isuzu with Kenyan bodywork was seen more regularly in service in 2012/2013 as was a more recent Isuzu NPR -LSHS. Also, an old Nissan of the model used by ONATRACOM during the 1980’s was seen in the same dark red colours as the Isuzu and might also have belonged to Gasabo.
