Coaches in Jordan
RETURN TO BUS-JORDAN PAGE
Jordan has become a major tourist destination and thus boosts several coach companies catering for day trips, tours and scheduled luxury services within Jordan and to neighbouring countries. Important tourist destinations include Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, the Baptism Site and the Dead Sea, Karak, the desert castles and Mount Nebo. One can be sure to find coaches parked at these sites. The best known and oldest coach company is JETT, Jordan Express Tourist Transport, created in 1966 and for a long time the monopolist in this sector. But several other companies have been created since the 1990's, using modern and luxury coaches. In addition there are some companies included here that provide mainly regional and national scheduled services with large coaches. Most scheduled regional services are by owner-operators or companies using buses, not coaches, and these are thus treated elsewhere on this site. Below the companies are listed, clicking the pictures or the links will take you to the corresponding page where company and buses are treated in more detail. UPDATED May 28, 2010
