The standard buses on the Barranquilla Transmetro are these Scania -Busscar vehicles. Interestingly they have normal doors on the right hand side for street running and high-platform doors on the left hand side for busway-running. This makes it possible to have buses continue beyond the busway, thus avoiding a change of buses. Below one can see one bus running on route R9-1 operating outside the busway. Also note the destination displays that alternate between the route destination and the the text "Barranquilla Ciudad del Jazz Sep 8 al 12".
