Right from its beginnings around 1964 STS has been responsible for transport in several "gouvernorats": Sousse, Monastir and Mahdia. Given that the company operates in a major tourist area and covers a densily populated area it is not only large but more pictures are available of STS than of any other company.
The fleet as seen in 1983 was comprised of locally built FIAT -STIA buses but also of imported Karosa and Ikarus buses as well as secondhand buses from Italy and Spain. During the 1980's secondhand buses from Germany (MAN standard and articulated vehicles) were imported. From the beginning of the 1990's however large numbers of new buses were bought and all secondhand buses were quickly discareded of. STS has since this period operated a fleet in which the majority of
the buses are articulated. From observations a fleet list has been compiled, starting with the newest vehicles :
