It uses components from global suppliers such as Siemens, Knorr, Eaton, Wabco and Thermo King. Its buses are built at Xiamen Fengtai Bus and Coach International Co., Ltd. (FTBCI) in China. To be able to comply with “Buy America” regulations it is setting up a production facility in Porterville, California.
GreenPower was founded in March 2010 and was acquired by Oakmont Mineral Corp in 2014. It works with Adomani in the US for its (proposed) range of buses and coaches.
Models on offer are the EV250 30ft, EV300 35ft, EV350 40ft, EV400 45ft and EV450 60ft articulated transit buses. The E350 was the first one to be built, with the first vehicle arriving in North America on 1 Augsut 2015. An EVC 550 electric double decker bus was also built and is being demonstrated and tested.

But a new purpose built type D school bus was presented in mid 2017. It is called the “Synapse”. A similar high floor vehicle is available as a shuttle bus.
