Ankara has a dense network of municipal buses. Payment is by multi-use magnetic cards, also used on the metro lines. There are no maps or timetables available. The fleet consists (October 2011) of three-door high floor cisty buses built between 1992 and 2010 and a small number of older articulated buses. Buses delivered since 2007 run on CNG.
