Peru's cities have many bus companies. Modernisation started in Lima with the opening of the BRT system "Metropolitano" in October 2010. In addition there still is a large number of other operators, mostly serving specific areas. The fleets vary from full size urban buses via mid-sized and minisbuses to "tuk-tuks". And of course taxis play an important role too. |
