Honduras has a wide variety of buses and coaches, ranging from ex US schoolbuses to modern coaches. There are no bus builders in Honduras. Ex US schoolbuses play a major role but also buses built on Mercedes-Benz or Hino chassis with bodywork by Rosmo (Guatemala) and Pena (El Salvador) are common. Larger, more modern buses come from Brasil (Busscar, Marcopolo, Comil, Caio) and Mexico (Eurocar). Around 2000 South Korean buses started to enter the central American market. European buses are rare as the major European makes Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania are built in Brasil. Odd ones seen around 2000 were Anadolu Isuzu from Turkey and secondhhand Paris city buses, a donation to the Ministry of Education.
