KBS is a private company that started bus services in Rwanda in 2006, initially with Toyota Coaster buses and a few secondhand large buses, among which was a Jonckheere Trans City. The livery back then was yellow. This fleet was replaced in 2011 with 20 new large Chinese Zonda buses in a new light-green and white livery. The company introduced smart tickets and established urban routes in Kigali (see website). Beginning of 2012 another 20 new Chinese buses were added, this time Yutong, which are mainly used on regional routes. On the four hour trip between Gisenyi and Kigali some 12 KBS buses could be seen. Noted were the following buses:

Numbers 14, 18, 19, 23, 25: Zonda Bus YCK6105HC4, 2011
Numbers 71-77, 79, 81-85, 87-89: Yutong ZK6108HGC, 2011
Unnumbered: one Toyota Coaster

While the Yutong buses were in corporate livery, most Zonda buses were now vinil-wrapped with advertisements.
