The DAF buses delivered in 1989-1990 were built up by two local bus body builders, Labh Sing Harnam Sing and Choda Fabricators. Both models were delivered at the same time and registration plates and, later, flee numbers were assigned irrespective of the make. The LSHS and Choda buses can be easily distinguished by a number of details, the larger black part under the front window and broader black band over the side windows being directly obvious. The Dutch funding was for 70 buses. Later fleet numbers go up to 1103 but probably include the former NYS buses transferred to NBS in 1988. Fleet numbers seen in the LSHS batch were 1046, 1050 and 1103. A number of these buses later recieved the new white livery (see pictures below).
