non psv buses
There are some buses for tourist and staff. Seen were two Toyota Coasters for Alpha Travel and Eritrean Airlines and a FIAT Daily for Travel House. On the airport at least two Higer-Karwa buses are used, similar to the ones with Zoba Maakel Public Transport. A very interesting bus is an old English double decker that was already exported to Eritrea in 1960! It is a Guy Arab II with Northern Coachbuilders bodywork, ex-Northern General 1178 (GPT 978). It was built in 1946 and was withdrawn in 1958. It is used by the Asmara Textile Mills. It has of course been rebuilt and now has a FIAT engine.
